Apex Mountain Resort

Apex Mountain Resort in Penticton, BC is a renowned Okanagan ski resort. The team at Apex recognized the need for a mobile-friendly website, which we helped to achieve by converting their site to our Chimera WordPress Framework. They also wanted to take advantage of ecommerce to sell lift tickets. We built an easy-to-use ticket purchasing system in the website which allows customers the convenience of online purchasing of tickets for skiing and events from any device. The system was built to give Apex control to set different discount rates, black out dates and more. We also built an easy to use events calendar, and useful functionality including a weather & groomed run widget in the site header.

Kootenay Rockies Tourism

Kootenay Rockies Tourism is one of BC’s five official Regional Destination Management Organizations (RDMO), working to coordinate and execute marketing initiatives including advertising, visitor fulfillment & planning assistance. In operation since 1978, Kootenay Rockies Tourism currently represents over 700 tourism businesses and operators.  Navigator Multimedia Inc. has had the pleasure of working with KR Tourism over the years to develop and maintain its web presence. The most recent project was in 2016, when KR Tourism approached Navigator to redesign the KR Tourism website with some new functions to enhance the user experience of the site.

Tourism Radium Hot Springs

Behind the scenes of the thriving tourism industry in Radium Hot Springs, BC, there’s Tourism Radium Hot Springs, a non-profit organization guided by a volunteer Board of Directors representing the accommodators, restaurant owners, attractions and other retail business owners in the Village. Having worked with the team at Tourism Radium Hot Springs on maintaining and updating its website over several years, we can attest to the passion and hard work of this group. Our latest project with Tourism Radium Hot Springs saw us redesigning the site and developing a back end to allow for a dynamic, easy-to-use advertising display system. The new site is mobile responsive, making it simple for newcomers and locals to easily find the Chamber of Commerce or other business information they need to enjoy their time in Radium Hot Springs.

Swagman Bike Racks

Swagman is the leading brand of of value-added bicycle racks and outdoor orientated sporting products. With over twenty years of experience developing superior sporting products for wheels, water and snow, Swagman has helped redefine its industry’s standards by offering stronger and more intelligent design. Their mission is simple – to create products to help individuals enjoy the great outdoors all over the world.  We developed a new site design for Swagman, integrating a user-friendly Content Management System (CMS) to provide Swagman administrators with the tools to edit, add and optimize its web pages. Our programmers developed a custom dealer locator tool to compliment product pages with a GPS-enabled location function that makes it easy for users to find dealers of Swagman products within their selected proximity.

Podollan Hospitality Group

The Podollan Hospitality Group is an independent hotel chain owned and operated by Jason and Leah Podollan. With premier hotel properties in Salmon Arm, Fort McMurray and Grande Prairie, Podollan has built its name by specializing in the art of hospitality – delivering top quality products and a personalized customer service experience.  Navigator developed a new site design for The Podollan Hospitality Group and built a custom booking widget with a 3rd party reservation system. This new website provides Podollan administrators with the tools to edit, add and optimize pages. The design focus was to bring all of the properties together under one mobile-friendly, easy-to-use site for users to book accommodation online and learn more about each property. After the website went live we continued to work with Podollan to set up ecommerce tracking with Google Analytics, and led a paid search strategy on Google and Bing.

Spring Creek Real Estate

In the heart of Canmore, Alberta, Spring Creek is a thriving lifestyle community development. Spring Creek has several websites focusing on individual developments, vacation rentals, RV parks, hotel accommodations and more. Spring Creek Real Estate approached Navigator Multimedia Inc. with an AdWords account that was poorly targeted and did not have the right tools set up to track conversions. We build a new account structure after understanding their marketing objectives. We converted traffic on our own landing pages, and began to plan for a ground-up redevelopment of the Spring Creek website. We could see from their website analytics that traffic was getting lost when browsing listings across different projects, and the mobile user experience was challenging to view listing content. By collecting the right marketing data in AdWords and auditing analytics, we had a strong understanding of the type of information the user was looking for to help them make an inquiry. We customized the Content Management System (CMS) to allow for easy and flexible management of listings. Spring Creek Real Estate continues to work closely with Navigator to optimize their marketing and website for lead generation.

The Canadian Jewelry Exchange is an absolute institution in downtown Kelowna. With over thirty years in the city as its premier new and preowned jewelry store, CJEX sets the standard for choice, quality and customer service in the local jewelry industry. For incredible, handpicked one of a kind items, you simply have to go to CJEX. Navigator Multimedia has had the pleasure of developing a long-standing client relationship with CJEX, strengthened most recently by working with the team to redesign the CJEX website and online shopping portal. It was a great opportunity to create a unique, beautiful website with loads of customized features, including a user messenger centre and customizable search filters.

Alpine Helicopters Ltd.

With bases in Kelowna, BC and Canmore, AB, Alpine Helicopters Ltd. has been a Western Canadian fixture for exceptional, year-round helicopter services since 1961. Navigator Multimedia Inc. had the privilege of working with the team at Alpine to develop a new logo and web design to usher their services into the ever expanding world of ecommerce and digital collateral. The new website includes a booking tool that’s easy to use so customers can plan their tours in advance. We also set up goals in Google Analytics so the Alpine team can see where their bookings are coming from. This data will be a valuable asset when measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns moving forward. Restructuring the navigation and content to focus on the Helicopter Tourism experience keeps the navigation simple, with consistent call-to-action to place the user on the path to purchase. This experience is consistent across mobile, tablet, and desktop.

CenDek Railings Ltd.

CenDek Railings is the parent company of DekSmart, and Century Aluminium Railings. CenDek approached Navigator Multimedia Inc. with a plan to rebuild their Century Aluminium website and update it with their rapidly-growing dealer database. Serving both B2B and B2C markets, the website navigation had to be easy to use, while meeting the needs of these two user groups. We collaborated with CenDek during the design, and the migration of their product catalogue. Our marketing team has provided guidance and management post-launch on how to use Google Search and social media to reach potential customers at different moments in their buying cycle.

The Chopped Leaf

Fast, casual and always healthy, The Chopped Leaf is a flourishing restaurant chain with over 60 locations across Canada, catering to people who seek a fresh, nutritional alternative to standard grab-and-go meals. Our team worked to develop a new website design and Content Management System with an eye on providing as much ease of use to the marketing team at Chopped Leaf. From its fresh and fun homepage banners, to the consistently-updated blog posts and location additions, the new Chopped Leaf website is bursting with resources.

Teriyaki Experience

With over 100 locations worldwide, Teriyaki Experience is a Canadian restaurant franchise serving Japanese cuisine. Their younger target market is health conscious, on the go, and lives on social media. Teriyaki Experience came to Navigator Multimedia Inc. with a website which was built using Flash, a technology that is not supported on mobile devices. This was a serious challenge, as more than 60% of their website traffic was using a smartphone or tablet. We designed and developed a new website with the mobile user in mind. The new website features an interactive nutrition calculator, allowing the user to learn about Teriyaki Experience menu options and nutrition information. The store locator is optimized for search engines, allowing far greater visibility in branded and non-branded search queries.

Bone & Biscuit

The Bone & Biscuit Company is a pet store that specializes in healthier options for your dog or cat. The Bone & Biscuit needed a responsive new website that would be more in-line with their brand while driving more in-store visits and franchise inquiries. Navigator Multimedia Inc. worked closely with Bone & Biscuit through development to understand their short term website objectives, and long term marketing objectives to build a website that can scale with the franchise. After launching the website, we began to plan and execute a social media and content strategy to achieve stronger brand consistency between corporate and franchisee-level activity online.

Outlaw Eagle Manufacturing

Outlaw Eagle builds custom performance aluminium jet boats. Their race division competes (and often wins) the World Jet Boat Championships! Since their customers build boats and place orders from around the world, Outlaw was interested in streamlining the purchase process. Navigator Multimedia Inc. redesigned their website and built a custom boat builder that allows staff to add new features for future boats models. Their customers can now build a boat to their liking, and submit their boat for a quote – cutting down on admin and processing time. We set up conversion goals in Google Analytics on successful boat build submissions to track marketing performance and identifying the user path to purchase.

Kelowna General Hospital Foundation

The Kelowna General Hospital Foundation (KGHF) is a non-profit organization in support of the Kelowna General Hospital and other health facilities in the Okanagan. Navigator Multimedia Inc. has had the opportunity to establish and grow a rewarding working relationship with the information staff at KGHF; our most recent project was the redevelopment of the KGHF website in 2015. The extensive rebuild included a robust array of audience engagement tools, including interactive infographics, video displays and a fundraising solution integration.

Grapevine Restaurant

The perfect pairing to an afternoon of wine tasting at Gray Monk Winery in Lake Country, BC is a visit to Grapevine Restaurant for a delicious lunch or dinner. Chef Siever works with fresh, locally-sourced products to deliver unforgettable dining experiences paired expertly with Gray Monk wines. Working with the team at Grapevine Restaurant to design and develop a new website was a treat – especially while planning and programming the menu function of the site! With the new website, Grapevine administrators can easily add, edit and delete items from the menu in order to accommodate seasonal changes. The minimalistic, clean look of the site gorgeously showcases the scenic beauty of the Lake Country region and provides a user-friendly platform for prospective diners to get in touch, browse the menu and book a reservation online.

Revelstoke Tourism

The Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization delivering valuable services, business advocacy and events to its membership and community at large. The city it represents, Revelstoke, British Columbia, is a ruggedly beautiful year-round playground, attracting snow-seekers from around the world. The Navigator production team worked with the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce to merge  two popular websites within their control – and – into a single, robust main portal under the domain.

Adhering to the Tourism Revelstoke branding requirements, we developed a new design for the new site. The design was built responsive, so users across devices would have easy and convenient access to site content. Our custom WordPress content management system (CMS) was integrated to allow site administrators control over editing, adding, deleting and publishing content, including business listings and blog posts. In order to maintain the existing search engine traffic on and, our SEO experts performed 301 re-directs to the new site content. In addition, an image-uploader function called “Share Your Stoke” was built to provide users with a fun and interactive way to post images and stories about their time in Revelstoke.

Penticton Tourism

Penticton Tourism (Visit Penticton) is all about sharing this great city with the world. A city that’s full of friendly people, stunning scenery, and year-round activities needs to make it’s presence known. This destination marketing organization (DMO) approached us to build them a responsive website that would reflect these points. We used their vibrant colors and scenery to build a website that makes you feel like you’re already there experiencing the desert summer, even if you’re browsing from the frozen tundra. The website helps connect users with local businesses and keeps everyone up to date with events going on around the city. The business directory and event calendar were designed to be easy to use for both the person entering the data, as well as the user when browsing.
